"Stupid F--king Awesome" is a companion show to the 365 blog of the same name. All pieces in the series are mixed media still life paintings of awesome things. Kris Garland is a Tennessean (with no accent) who moved to the Pacific Northwest five years ago. She graduated from UMemphis with a BFA in Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture and Ceramics and never refers to it except in bios. She has a habit of starting 365 projects ("Suspect and Fugitive", "Year of Deer", "Stupid F Awesome") every year and occasionally completes them.
